"An Old House's Secrets", published June 26, 1910 in the Baltimore Sun. Author visited Red Point Farm- the original "Shipley's Choice" property. Describes the land and unoccupied house located on the property. Traces the history of the property back to 1681 and the original "Shipley's Choice" land patent (see column 2, at bottom). Published well before the Shipleys of Maryland was founded, it unfortunately contains incorrect genealogical information for Adam Shipley's family.

In 1949, the Shipleys of Maryland issues a set of eight Homestead plates. These included sketches and brief historical information. This document provides information describing each plate.
